Two types of petrifications I both often find are when the victim still have awareness and ones where they're just a mindless object that doesn't gain awareness until they turn back to normal. I personally prefer the latter but I'm asking others here which you personally prefer. I think I've seen some people say before they prefer statues to be aware while just being unable move and I'm curious what's the appeal. So can anyone who's into it explain? Trying to be open minded and curious to learn about this other interest.

As I said, I much prefer complete inanimation as I love the idea of becoming a literal object with no will or thoughts of my own. Even less conscious than if you're sleeping since you don't even dream, it's a perfect state of complete powerlessness only to be owned by others. You completely lose any agency as a person, it's... embarrassingly pleasant.  Smiley

In stories with petrification, I particularly love the moments when the victim turns back and ask "Huh? What just happened?" as it reinforces how they were just a mindless object through the whole thing(for example, Rhapsody a Musical Adventure). Also, I think it only makes sense that petrified victims shouldn't be able to think since if you're completely turned to stone, your brain shouldn't be able to function when it's just rocks.

Also, something that turns me off about aware petrification is that one instead sounds painful. Being conscious the whole time you're unable to do anything no matter how much you want to, makes me feel really bad for the victim.  Embarrassed

Although, I'm not really here to shame those into aware petrification, as I said, I'm keeping an open mind and curious to learn about it. Which is why I'm here to ask what people like about it. So which type of petrification do you enjoy and why? Or does it just not matter to you? Whichever, I would like to hear your thoughts.

EDIT: Sorry, a typo in the poll, "they should know" now fixed to "they should not know"

I love this a lot, much more than the other way around actually. I find the power to petrify is better suited for females, partly due to the whole gorgon thing but also because magic is more fitting for girls as a power they have over guys. Also, I'm male myself and I love the idea of getting turned into a literal object with no thoughts or will of my own. It's really embarrassing but I love that about it, it's a state of complete powerlessness to be owned and controlled by others. A nice way I can literally belong to a cute girl.  Smiley

But although I still prefer male petrification, lately, I've been more into female petrification. Although that's more to do with understanding how nice it is to be turned into an object and would like it to be enjoyed by girls I like too so she can also have a turn as I indulge in her powerlessness as I would like her to do to me. I like to think that being turned into an inanimate object is something that can be enjoyed by both genders and we can even take turns with who's in control. Not entirely sure but that would be nice.

What about female on male unfreezing? I saw this scene in a german movie where a witch petrifies a guy (or ice-freezes him, I'm not sure... he turns blue). Later on his true love comes in, looks at him and his predicament, says "I want to try something", kisses him gently and low and behold, he comes back to life! Found that hella hot. Similar plots happen in an episode A tale of the stone Maiden on AYAOTD (stone), and an episode of the new Peter Pan (also stone) A gender-reversed sleeping beauty sort of thing...

I really love this too, something great about ASFR is that there are several fun roles with it. The bewitched, the bewitcher and the rescuer and I personally really enjoy the idea of being rescued by cute girls. Also, another nice thing about the powerless state in ASFR is you can only trust in others. Any chance you remember the name of the movie, I might like to check it out.

Some of my favorite ASFR moments involve the guy being turned into a statue and the girl rescues them. Some nice ones are Atelier Iris 2, several episodes of the 2018 anime of Gegege no Kitaro, Strike the Blood and Rhapsody A Musical Adventure. Rhapsody is like the perfect combination since the prince gets petrified by a hot witch and the main character is a cute girl who goes to rescue him. Really wish I was that prince.  Cheesy

I updated my own server link; as Snowbell's Frozen Realm no longer exists. Now it's just The Icy Realm; an ice-centric ASFR server

The blog get Private now. Anyone had luck in enter?

Author made it private temporarily to manage it/IRL things. As said on his twitter.

It seems you're going to have to request access to them blog owner. Chances are this was intentional to preserve the database.

Unlikely. The request prompt is there because there's probably no other way to temporary disable viewing for maintenance than going private.

I see, he/she bloqued me in Twitter. That's why I can not see the news in the blog.
